Sensory Journey | Yogurt Paint

Sensory Day Number One

We are in the middle of a nationwide shutdown, due to COVID-19. So I figured this was the perfect time to start this blog because I have tried 200 times and why not now? I am going to be sharing all sorts of things on here. I have been reading tons of blogs about sensory things for our 10 month old and I regret not doing these fun things sooner. I am challenging myself to one new sensory activity daily, granted it may not happen, but still - 'clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose.' At least that's what my husband says all the time. So going for it over here.

The other day we tried yogurt paint, I read about this one and was so excited to try it. I had some greek yogurt and just needed food coloring. I am going to try my best at showing you guys the exact items I tried, but know that I am not selling these items and if something else works better for you guys totally use that item. As long as baby is safe and mama is happy that's what matters.

We used Chobani greek yogurt, I will say this is the first time we used this brand. It worked well and our little guy loved it.

We used this kind of food coloring. I used blue and green.

&& that is all.

I got two spoonfuls of yogurt and mixed it with one drop of blue food coloring, then repeated for the green. We also did this on the front porch in his highchair because whoa is he a messy eater and I didn't want to be getting yogurt off the walls for weeks to come.

This activity cost $6 in total
This activity took 5 minutes to prepare.
This activity lasted about 20 minutes.
This activity did require a bath afterwards.

I hope you guys get to try this with your little one. I'd love to see how yours turns out, leave a picture in the comments or tag me on Instagram @calliegerardo

Happy Painting!
